COTTAGE COUNTRY, ON- Lights should be back on across cottage country by this afternoon.

Early this morning, there were more than 100 outages of varying size from the Parry Sound area to the Haliburton Highlands.

Thousands were in the dark, and restoration times weren’t available as crews were still being dispatched.

However, the power authority is now putting down estimated times of restoration across the region.

Around Lake of Bays and the Dorset area, the power should be back on by 6:00 p.m.

Around Haliburton, crews are still assessing the damage and a restoration time isn’t available.

South of Gravenhurst and north of Bracebridge, power should be back on by 1:00 p.m., though some areas are still being assessed.

Damage is also still being assessed around Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau, but the north end of Lake Joseph’s east shore should have power back by 2:00 p.m.

Near South River, power should be back on by 2:00 p.m., and near Sundridge it should be back by 6:00 p.m.

Multiple smaller outages are still being assessed. Full info can be found on the outage map: https://stormcentre.hydroone.com/
