Three of the five Shamrock rep teams were out of town for tournaments with the Rotary Club Atoms in Schomberg for the Red and White Tournament and the Fowler Construction Peewees and Ritchie Insurance Bantams in North Bay for the West Ferris Early Bird Tournament. The Atom team won two games and tied one in the round robin, but lost to Lambton Shores 6-2 in the finals. The Peewees went undefeated all weekend, beating Manitoulin 3-2 in overtime in the finals. The Bantams won two games and lost one, but it wasn’t enough to make it to the semifinals.
Closer to home, the Optimist Club Novices fell to South Muskoka 9-1 Friday night at the BOCC followed by the Brokerlink Midgets downing Muskoka Rock 5-1.
On Sunday, the Novices were back in home action against Muskoka Rock and won 7-1 while the Midgets faced Muskoka Rock again and edged them 4-3.
