In local hockey action this past weekend, On Friday night the Optimist Club Novices scored late the third period to break the shut out in a loss to Oro while the Rotary Club Atoms pulled their goalie with less than two minutes to play and were able to tie Haliburton 2-2. Also Friday night, the Ritchie Insurance Bantams fell to South Muskoka 6-1 and the Brokerlink Midgets loss 5-2 to Highland Storm in Haliburton.  Saturday saw the Fowler Construction Peewees lose to Oro 7-2 while the Optimist Club Novices were in Haliburton where they fell 8-1.  On Sunday, the Rotary Club Atoms travelled to Huntsville and were edged 3-2.  This coming weekend at the Bobby Orr Community Centre the Parry Sound Hockey Club is hosting their annual Novice and Atom Tournament.
