A local golf course is hosting a very prestigious tournament next week. The Ridge at Manitou will be the site of this year’s PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada from Monday to Thursday. Close to 100 players will compete in the national tournament with practice rounds being played this weekend. Number 1-ranked player from the PGA of Canada Player Rankings, Ontario’s Billy Walsh, looks to defend his championship title after besting the field in 2013 at The Willows Golf & Country Club in Saskatoon.
