Multiple Excessive Speeding Charges laid in Parry Sound District

Multiple drivers have been charged with stunt driving.

On November 25, a member of the West Parry Sound OPP was patrolling on Highway 400 in Seguin Township. Shortly before 4:00 pm, a vehicle traveling northbound on the 400 was observed traveling at speeds of over 50km over the posted speed limit.

As a result, a 22-year-old man from Sudbury was charged with Stunt Driving.

His license has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for seven days. The driver is scheduled to appear in court in Parry Sound on December 20th.

Later that day, officers were monitoring northbound traffic on Highway 400 in Seguin Township. Shortly after 8:00 pm, a vehicle traveling northbound was observed to be speeding excessively.

A 30-year-old man from Sudbury was charged with race a motor vehicle. The driver is scheduled to attend court in Parry Sound on December 4th. His license has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was driving has also been impounded for seven days.

The OPP continued to monitor northbound traffic on Highway 69 in The Archipelago Township. Shortly after 8:00 pm, when another driver was observed to be speeding. The vehicle was stopped for stunt driving.

A 43-year-old female from Sudbury was charged with Race a motor vehicle. Her license has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for seven days.

The driver is scheduled to attend court in Parry Sound on January 15th.
