Our local athletes finished well at the North American Indigenous Games. Both from Wasauksing, Mercedes Pegahmegabow and Winston Badger travelled to Regina to compete in the week –long competition against other First Nations, Metis and Non-Indigenous communities. Mercedes is returning with a bronze medal in ladies under-19 softball as her team Ontario downed New York 12-4 while Winston finished in seventh place in the men’s under-19 golf event.
