Radiothon to assist local hospital’s transition

103.3 Moose FM is helping the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation raise money to complete their transition to electronic health records. West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation Executive Director, Lynne Atkinson says new devices need to be purchased:

Those items include a monitor that will provide real-time information on patients’ health records, as well as Workstations On Wheels (WOW’s) and tablets allowing the patient to electronically connect with staff from their bedside.  Atkinson says this benefits the patient and the hospital:

Atkinson says this eliminates the issue of human error, where information on a patient’s health may not be properly logged. She says the electronic health records will go live in 2019. The Moose FM Radiothon in support of The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation runs from 6 am to 6 pm tomorrow. To make a donation, call Moose FM at 705.746.4291 or The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation at 705.746.4540.
