Parry Sound High School athletes competed in day one of the OFSAA regional at York University. Lauren Nawroth placed second in junior girl’s shot put, just two centimeters short of the winner, and will compete at the OFSAA finals next month. Devin Jarrick placed third in ambulatory boy’s 100m, Kayla Babcock finished 14th in midget girl’s 400m, and Justin Dawson placed 14th in junior boy’s 1500m. Tomorrow, Gracie Crafts will compete in midget girls 3000m, Jordan Ruggles will be in the midget boy’s triple jump, Babcock will race in the midget girl’s 800m, and Dawson will run the junior boy’s 800m.
