Boot Drive for Aubree raises over $10,000 in Parry Sound

An initiative to raise money for a five-year-old girl diagnosed with cancer has received a ton of community support.
Over the weekend, firefighters and paramedics in Parry Sound held out a boot to raise money for Aubree.
Paramedic Jason Predie organized the Boot Drive and says the response from the community was overwhelming.
Predie says the charity has not stopped there, with numerous people dropping donations off following the weekend drive.
Even the owner of Maurizio’s Taste of Italy jumped in by donating $1,000 from his Saturday sales.
He says the fundraising effort will continue with a celebrity server night being held at Boston Pizza in the near future.
Aubree was diagnosed with proximal epitheliode sarcoma of her cervical spine, and the rare form of cancer limits her physical activity and affects her ability to hold up her own head.
You can find out more information on Aubree and how to donate further on her fundraiser Facebook Page.
