Parry Sound and area Karate students have brought back some hardware from the National Championships. Over the weekend, students from the Tony Agnello Memorial Karate Club were in Toronto where Nodin Rice won gold in both sparring and kata in the novice boys division, Belle Daoust took silver in novice girls sparring; Christa Skarott took bronze in intermediate women’s sparring, and Lisa Lanktree took 4th in intermediate women’s sparring. The club is also proud of Stacey Ramos and Rebecca McEwen who passed their black belt tests on Sunday.
