The Parry Sound Stingers U16 basketball team was in Newmarket this weekend for a tournament. The first game against a Toronto team was a physical one that saw the Parry Sound girls lose a close 43-39 match with Lauryn Kennedy and Kamryn Elkin leading the team with six points each. The second game, against a team from Newmarket, found the Parry Sound team on the winning side of a 43-41 final. Top scorers were Kamryn Elkin with 16 and Wryin Staszkiel with 12.
