Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts
On Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Rotary Revival Club of Parry Sound invites the community to come together for the Unite for Good Gathering — a meaningful evening focused on reconciliation, understanding, friendship, respect and cultural connection.
This special gathering is an opportunity to listen, learn and stand respectfully alongside Indigenous Peoples while experiencing the living traditions, teachings and cultural knowledge of the Anishinaawbek, shared through an Indigenous lens.
The evening will feature:
Traditional storytelling, song, dance and drumming
Indigenous knowledge sharing and cultural teachings
A narration performance featuring members of the Grammy Award-nominated and Canadian Aboriginal Choice Award-winning Bear Creek Singers
Teachings and perspectives from respected Elders, Anishinaabe Knowledge Carriers and former First Nation community leaders
Reconciliation in Action
The Unite for Good Gathering is more than an educational experience. It is a living act of reconciliation in action — creating a welcoming space to honour Indigenous voices, share cultural truths, deepen understanding and build meaningful intercultural friendships.
Everyone is welcome, including community members, educators, students, families and people of all ages who wish to listen, learn and experience an evening of Indigenous knowledge and culture.
Supporting Youth & Future Generations
Proceeds from the gathering will support:
• West Parry Sound youth services
• Higher Learning Gateways
• The Rosseau Lake College Seven Generations Program
• First Nations youth singing, dance and drum teaching opportunities
Together, we can help build stronger relationships and a deeper understanding for today’s youth and generations yet to come.
