It was not a safe weekend for the province according to OPP. Police say there were 16 deaths over the civic long-weekend. Nine people died in car crashes, while seven died on the water from drowning and boat crashes. Police are continuing to remind everyone to always wear a lifejacket in boats, and never drink and drive on the water and on roads.
