Parry Sound Family Health Team appoints next executive director

The Parry Sound Family Health Team has appointed Kelly Hurry as its next executive director.

According to officials, since joining the Health Team in 2022, Hurry has progressively assumed greater responsibilities in finance, human resources, operations, governance and organizational planning, while demonstrating leadership, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach.

“She has played a key role in strengthening organizational operations, supporting the Board of Directors, fostering a positive workplace culture, and building collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare partners, Medical Associates and Rugged Shores Family Health,” states a release on her appointment.

Prior to joining the Family Health Team, officials said Hurry held progressively responsible positions in healthcare, municipal and public sector organizations throughout West Parry Sound, gaining a variety of experience.

“Following a comprehensive recruitment process, the Board selected Kelly and is confident that her leadership, experience, and commitment to collaborative patient-centred care will help advance the Family Health Team’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality primary care for the West Parry Sound community.”
