West Parry Sound Health Centre reporting high volume of paitents

The West Parry Sound Health Centre is currently experiencing a high volume of patients.

In a social media post on July 27, hospital officials said staff are working hard to provide safe, compassionate care, but that patients may experience long-than-usual wait times and delays.

Officials are encouraging residents with non-urgent health concerns to contact their primary health care provider, or call Health 8-1-1 to speak with a qualified health professional.

Residents can also talk to a local pharmacist about assessment and treatment of eligible minor ailments, or contact the North East Virtual Care Clinic at 1-888-684-1999 to set up a virtual appointment with a nurse practitioner.
