West Parry Sound Health Centre Auxiliary ‘Tag Day’ to support local health care

The West Parry Sound Health Centre Auxiliary is once again raising funds to support local health care.

On June 25, volunteers will be stationed at Food Basics, Walmart, No Frills, Sobeys and Canadian Tire for Tag Day collecting donations to help purchase new beds and stretchers for the local Emergency Department.

According to Auxiliary President Margaret Aerola, the auxiliary has raised a significant amount over the past two years, and they are hoping to do so again.

“We have committed over $100,000 in each one of those years to support projects such as upgrades to the birthing suites, furnishing of a wellness room for staff and volunteers, patient lounge upgrades on our transitional care unit, and we have provided two bursaries to graduating students of parry Sound High School who will be entering the Health Services profession.”

Donations in support of Tag Day can also be made online here.
