Highway 69 rehabilitation project slated to start Sept. 2

A large-scale highway rehabilitation project on Highway 69 is slated to start on Sept. 2.
The project will see roughly 20 km of Highway 69 resurfaced, from the Highway 559 interchange to 5 kilometres north of Shebeshekong Road.
Officials say the structural rehabilitation of the Shawanaga River Bridge will also be apart of the project.
Construction will continue into November, then stop before picking back up in the spring. The project is slated to be complete by next fall.
Officials say the project will include both daytime and nighttime construction, and rotating lane closures.
