‘Kim’s Swim’ to raise funds for Tamarack North Centre

Local resident Kim Magee will once again embark on a swim to raise funds for the Tamarack North Centre (formerly known as the West Parry Sound Recreation and Cultural Centre).

This year’s 5.5 kilometre swim will take place on Friday (Aug. 22) at 9 a.m. in Lake Rosseau and will be Magee’s third open water swim in support of the new pool project.

Following the swim there will be a community barbeque from 12 to 2 p.m.

Last year, Magee swam six kilometers around Nine Mile Lake and raised $4,000 for the new pool. This year she is hoping to generate $5,000.
