Residents in the Town of Parry Sound could see their property taxes increase 3.3 per cent this year.
A draft 2024 budget, discussed at a special council meeting on April 9, indicated the increase was needed in order to offset increased operational costs and raise funds to replace aging infrastructure.
A $7.3 million capital budget includes the replacement of underground infrastructure on Glen and Victoria avenues, rehabilitation of the Seguin Street and Waubauno bridges, and replacement playground equipment at William Street, Booth Street and Cherry Street parks.
