Wausauksing First Nation ready to celebrate Maplefest

Maplefest is set to take over the Wausauksing First Nation on Saturday.

The annual festival will take place at the Gathering Centre from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the chief and council kicking off the day with a welcoming ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

An all day pancake breakfast will run until 2 p.m. Beavertails, funnel cakes and maple syrup taffy will also be available.

There will be axe throwing, horse drawn wagon rides, children’s activities, a maple donut eating contest and more.
