Toronto man wanted for murder arrested in Magnetawan First Nation

A 30-year-old man wanted for murder in Toronto has been arrested in Magnetawan First Nation.

Sergeant Chantal Larocque with the Anishnabek Police Service confirms the man was arrested on Dec. 12 by both her agency and the Ontario Provincial Police.

Laroque says the man tried to flee but was found by the OPP Canine Unit, alongside $3,525 in cash and 128 bags of cocaine with an estimated street value of $6,000.

The Toronto Police Service had issued a Canada-wide second-degree murder warrant for his arrest last year, in relation to a fatal shooting at a Toronto nightclub in 2021. He’s facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
