Applications have opened for this year’s Founders Choice Awards competition.
The competition is run by the Parry Sound Area Founders Circle, a group of community leaders, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. The Founders invest funds as prizes to be awarded to individuals or groups with innovative ideas that will help improve the local economy throughout the District of Parry Sound.
“We are excited to launch the 2023 edition and help businesses in the Parry Sound area get to the next level,” says Nicole Boyd, of Royal LePage Team Advantage Realty, Brokerage, who is co-chairing the Parry Sound and Area Founder’s Board with Peter Istvan, of Peter Istvan Photography.
Anyone interested has until the end of October to drop their application in, which will be evaluated on various economic qualities.
The Founders Choice Awards’ $10,000-grand prize and $5,000-second prize will be awarded at the Impact Gala, which is set to take place in Winter 2024.
Officials say in addition to being involved in the review and selection of the Awards, the Founders provide significant assistance to all finalists with video production, marketing, mentorship, and introduction to investors.
