Authorities are looking for a federal offender known to frequent Parry Sound, Barrie and Quebec.
The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is seeking the public’s help to find Marc Gauthier, who is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant after breaching his Statutory Release.
Police say the 54-year-old is 5 foot 7, weighs 176 lbs with brown eyes, brown hair but is currently shaved bald and is possibly clean-shaven.
The ROPE squad says he occasionally wears eyeglasses and has several tattoos consisting of a tombstone and heart on his left arm and a snake and skull on his right arm.
According to police, Gauthier is serving an over 41-year sentence for 60 charges including 16 for armed robbery and multiple firearm possession charges and one for an explosive substance.
Police say he is also currently wanted by Nottawasaga O.P.P. for an armed robbery that happened Tuesday (July 4) in Alliston. The OPP says the firearm that was used has not been located, and ask that if you observe Gauthier, to not approach him and call 911.
