The Parry Sound Area Founders Circle is holding a “Meet and Greet” on May 1st.
The group, comprised of a handful of local community leaders and entrepreneurs, is holding the event from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Trestle Brewing Company.
The founders invest funds in the form of prizes in their yearly funding competition. The prizes are awarded to individuals or groups with innovative ideas that will help improve the local economy throughout the District of Parry Sound.
According to the group, founders contribute $1000, and the money is used for the Parry Sound Area Founders Choice Awards of either $10,000 (1st prize) or $5000 (2nd prize).
The group, led by an Executive Committee, of Peter Istvan, Chair, Nicole Boyd, Co-Chair, and Clayton Harris, Selection Committee Chair, is also looking to shore up their ranks for 2023 and is looking for new businesses and entrepreneurs.
