A Parry Sound man is facing multiple charges after police responded to a weapons call over the weekend.
The OPP’s West Parry Sound Detachment says officers responded to the call on Waubeek Street in Parry Sound around 9:30 PM on Saturday(Jan 14th).
According to police, as a result of further investigation, a 31-year-old Parry Sound man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, contrary to Section 88 of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to Section 9(1) CC
- Breach of conditional sentence order, contrary to Section 742.6 CC (two counts)
OPP say the accused remains in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance in Parry Sound today (Jan. 16th).
