The search for a missing nine year-old boy has ended tragically with the boy being found deceased.
Everett Freeman was camping with family on Huckleberry Island on Georgian Bay when he went missing around 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
The West Parry Sound Detachment of the OPP assisted by OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Marine Unit, three Canine Units, OPP Aviation Services and the OPP Underwater Search & Recovery Unit were assisted by the McDougall Township and Carling Township Fire Departments, Canadian Coast Guard and Joint Rescue Co-ordination Center (JRCC).
The boy was found deceased Saturday afternoon. No foul play is suspected.
