A local man is facing two charges, including one for attempted murder after police were called to an incident on James street late Sunday night.
According to the West Parry Sound OPP, officers received a call to a residence around 1 AM on Monday, after a victim was assaulted with a weapon.
OPP says the victim was taken to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries and a 28-year-old Parry Sound man was arrested and charged with attempted murder as well as aggravated assault.
The Crime Unit, North-East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were also on the scene.
The accused will stay in custody and is set to re-appear in court in Parry Sound on July 13th.
