Local residents can now ‘Check Then Go’ for health inspection results at restaurants and area services.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has created a new online portal on their website.
Residents can also scan the QR code on the Health Unit’s inspection disclosure signage at the entrance of inspected businesses and other settings like pools, personal services and child care centres.
“The purpose of the program is to provide inspection information that will help residents and visitors make informed decisions to protect their health,” explains Shauna Riley, Public Health Inspector at the Health Unit. “I encourage people to visit the portal and check the inspection history of a food premise or personal service setting before making plans.”
The Health Unit says Smoke-Free Ontario Act violations will not be available through the portal, but a link will be added to the Check Then Go webpage.
