March break in Parry Sound, here’s what to do

The Town of Parry Sound is kicking off March break with a host of events for all residents.

Brad Weiler, the town’s Community Recreations Program Coordinator says there’s free public skating at the Bobby Orr Community Centre today (Monday) to Thursday from 2 to 3 PM.

The Hidden Bay March Break Camp at the Museum at Tower Hill is running Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for kids in JK through to Grade 8. You can register through their website at hiddenbay.ca/march-break-at-tower-hill/.

Weiler says the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame is also offering 2 for 1 admission on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and there are two free movies running at the Performance Hall (Clifford the Big Red Dog at 2 PM on Wednesday, and Paw Patrol at 11 AM on Saturday).

“There’s a number of events going on throughout Parry Sound this March Break. We are really looking forward to having families and children out to enjoy their breaking and looking forward to providing some fun activities so that the whole family can enjoy,” Weiler adds.

The Parry Sound Public Library is also running several March Break Kids’ Programs this week, both online and in person.  Both in-person programs only have two-time slots available and require masks. To register and for more information call 705-746-9601 or email [email protected].
