The local health unit reported no new cases of COVID-19 from Parry Sound District Friday.
That keeps the district at no active cases for the fifth consecutive day.
In Nipissing, one recovery and one new case were reported keeping that district at eight active cases.
Also for Nipissing, the health unit reported one more person received a preliminary positive result for a variant of concern, one more person was confirmed to have the B 1.351 variant originating from South Africa and the District’s first case of the B 1.1.7 originating from the U.K. was added Friday.
The health unit did just under 900 tests for COVID in the last 24 hours.
