Wasauksing First Nation will be receiving just under $2.2 million for the design and construction of a Peatland Wastewater System.
Ottawa is covering about $1.6-million of that investment, Ontario $400,000, and First Nation communities are providing about $146,000.
The funding, announced Thursday, is part of a $92-million joint boost from the feds, the province and First Nations to support water infrastructure improvements in 37 First Nation communities across Ontario.
