Health Unit says they know about the “Form has been tampered with” issue, urging patience

Online COVID-19 vaccine booking in the North Bay Parry Sound District is off to a rough start according to Parry Sounders.

Moose Newsroom received multiple reports on Monday from locals saying the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s online booking system is “broken”.

The system was launched Monday at 9 AM for all individuals born in 1941 and before to be able to book an appointment for a shot.

Around noon, the health unit posted to Facebook saying “We’ve heard about the “Form has been tampered with” message many of you are getting when trying to book an appointment online through the provincial system. We understand this is frustrating, but know the Ministry of Health is aware and working hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible. If you haven’t already, try again using a different internet browser. If that doesn’t work, wait patiently and try again later. You will get through”

The newsroom was told people are seeing wait times of over 1.5 hours, only to be told the form is not working and then get kicked out.

Residents say the health unit’s phone lines were completely overwhelmed as well as the phone-line the Premier provided for help with the new online booking system.
