Parry Sound High Schoolers are getting some extra math and literacy help thanks to the Rotary Club of Parry Sound.
The Near North District School Board announced Friday that the Rotary Club’s fundraising resulted in a $15,000 donation for online tutoring services.
The services will be operated by the school’s student services department and will ensure students are tutored by qualified individuals.
NNDSB says students who were previously struggling in their classes were able to pass them and receive the class credit thanks to the tutoring service.
Rotary Club of Parry Sound member Karen Cox said “We knew our local Parry Sound High School students were struggling with the challenges of learning online and in school at this time so we acquired enough funding to underwrite an online tutoring program to assist those most in need,”
