Two active cases of COVID-19 remain in Parry Sound District after one new case and one more recovery were added Tuesday.
The strain of the two cases of variants of concern from Parry Sound District was confirmed to be the B.1.1.7 Variant originally found in the United Kingdom.
In Nipissing, the health unit added one new case as well as the District’s third death related to the Skyline-Lancelot Community Outbreak.
That keeps Nipissing District at three active cases of the virus, with both of Tuesday’s new cases reported to be outbreak-associated and now self-isolating.
The health unit did just over 400 tests for COVID in the last 24 hours.
