WPS Health Centre gives details on COVID-19 vaccinations

One-shot at a time the Parry Sound community is becoming a safer and healthier place.

The West Parry Sound Health Centre released a statement Tuesday updating the community on its COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

WPSHC confirmed getting 912 doses of both Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines over the last few weeks.

Of those, 474 shots were provided in late February that included both doses for Lakeland Long Term Care residents, and first doses for Lakeland staff, WPSHC staff working inside Lakeland, some alternate level of care patients, some high-risk staff, and residents of Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged.

WPSHC said that once the initial priority populations are vaccinated, information about community-based vaccination clinics will be made available after details and vaccine supplies are confirmed.
