A local man was arrested and faces charges after police and the Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on Sunday.
The OPP’s West Parry Sound Detachment says it was called to assist the Parry Sound Fire Department with a fire alarm on Salt Dock Road around noon February 14th.
As per protocol, the building was evacuated once the alarm went off and police say there were indications there was smoke in the building upon arrival.
However, officials concluded there was no fire and arrested a local man after investigating.
A 37-year-old is facing two charges, one for resisting a peace officer and the other mischief under $5,000 and is scheduled to appear at court in April 1st.
