Nipissing West OPP say fatal Highway 69 crash involved stolen vehicle

The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a fatal Highway 69 crash that happened Monday.

The collision involved an SUV and a Commercial Motor Vehicle north of Estaire Road in Sudbury.

The driver of the SUV, 47-year old Parry Sound local, Tammy Ashawasega was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Police say the driver of the other car was not injured. 

OPP says the SUV was found to be stolen from Sudbury and was travelling southbound on Highway 69 when it collided with a northbound car.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash on Monday north of Estaire Road in Sudbury and may have more information to call their local OPP detachment.
