The Wasauksing First Nation released the results of its 2021 Chief and Council Election Wednesday.
According to the statement of votes, Warren Tabobondung (Wally Sr.) is the newly elected Chief with 169 votes.
And in councillor elections, Brent Tabobandung, Craig Brown, Joel King, Vincent Chechock and Chance Pedoniqotte-King were elected to office.
The statement goes on to confirm that the count was diligently conducted in accordance with the Indian Band Election Regulations.
