Over 1,000 vaccinated in the district by end of Tuesday; Dr. Jim Chirico

All long-term care residents and First Nations Elder Care individuals and staff within the district will be immunized against COVID-19 as of Tuesday night. 

North Bay-Parry Sound’s Medical Officer of Health Jim Chirico said the district is a day ahead of the schedule set by the province. 

Dr. Jim Chirico says as of Tuesday, a total of 1,076 people in the district have received their shots. 

972 of those are long-term care home residents, 18 alternative level of care patients awaiting transfer to long-term care homes, 42 long-term care staff, 20 First Nations Elder Care individuals and 24 First Nation Healthcare Providers.
