Two new COVID-19 cases in Parry Sound Tuesday

The local health unit reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Parry Sound on Tuesday. 

Both cases, now self-isolating, are individuals 20 to 39-years old.

No recoveries were added in Parry Sound bringing the district’s active case count to four.

In Nipissing, the health unit added two cases and two recoveries putting that district back at 20 active cases of the virus, three of which are confirmed to be variants of concern.

Both new cases in Nipissing are related to the Lancelot apartments outbreak, with one individual 40 to 59 years old and the other 60 to 79-years old. 

The health unit says it’s done 442 COVID tests in the last 24 hours.
