École Publique De La Région De Parry Sound Announces Name And Logo Change

It looks like École Publique de la région de Parry Sound is officially changing its name and logo.

The school announced Monday that as of July 1st, the school would become known as École Publique aux Quatre-Vents – which means ‘Four Winds Public School’.

It was a team effort by the school’s marketing committee, along with consultation with the advisory committee and the approval of the Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) that allowed the change to take place.

The new name establishes close links with the number four and a natural feature of the Parry Sound area, the wind.

The school says its news logo represents four leaves twirling in the wind, a concept that promotes the idea of playing and the importance of nature to the Parry Sound area.

The visual identity of the leaves that dance in the wind forms a kinetic symbol, in motion and the formation of them also illustrates the four winds, the four directions and the four seasons.

École Publique aux Quatre-Vents will also welcome students and staff in September 2020 from a new location.

During the summer break, the school plans to its new premises in the Parry Sound Mall.

The CSPNE is currently proceeding with the required renovations that will allow this site to provide a safe and healthy environment for the learning and development of students and staff.
