Parry Sound Closing Four Boat Launches Until Further Notice

The Town of Parry Sound is closing four municipally owned boat launches amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the town says it has no permanent or seasonal residents requiring boat launches to access their properties, this action is being taken to be consistent with neighbouring municipalities to not undermine their efforts in those areas.

As a result, the following launches are closed until further notice:

  • Champaign Street boat launch, public and commercial launches
  • Waubuno Beach boat launch
  • Salt Dock boat launch
  • Mill Lake boat launch

Updates regarding COVID-19 can be found on the town’s website and through their social media accounts as it becomes available.

For more information, you can head to the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit’s website, the province’s coronavirus page, or through the Public Health Agency of Canada.
