OPP find cocaine and meth during speed blitz

MCDOUGALL TOWNSHIP, ON – Police laid more than just speeding charges while conducting radar enforcement.

The West Parry Sound OPP is doing more speed checks to try and curb the number of deaths and injuries on the roads.

Police pulled a car over for speeding in McDougall Township Tuesday night. The driver’s licence was suspended and after investigating further, police found cocaine and meth on both the driver and the passenger.

The 40-year-old driver and 30-year-old passenger are from Spanish. They face a list of charges for possession of property and drugs. The driver is also charged for driving with a suspended license and having cannabis readily available.

Both the accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound in mid-December.
