A Machar Township man has been charged with driving while disqualified just hours after having his licence suspended. Almaguin Highlands OPP was called to Jasper Street in Machar Township after 9:00pm on October 30th after a vehicle drove into the ditch. When police arrived they found a van stuck in the ditch and that the 35-year-old driver had been in a Sundridge court earlier that day and convicted of impaired driving. The man was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified and obstructing a peace officer and will answer to those charges next month.
