PARRY SOUND, ON-The Near North District School Board (NNDSB) of Trustees is searching for a replacement after previous Director of Education Jackie Young resigned to retire to her pension.
Young’s retirement came into effect on October 24th, at the board’s regular meeting.
The competition for the new Director of Education has begun and the Board of Trustees has determined that the type of candidate that they are looking for is someone who is a leader, who has experience, community engagement and the ability to achieve the board’s ambitious goals.
Chairman Jay Aspin said, “the board seeks a strong, confident leader to enhance the educational programs currently provided by the NNDSB as we are determined to provide outstanding educational opportunities for the students in our region.”
