Aitchison wins Parry Sound-Muskoka

PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA- With a total of 220 polls reporting, here are the latest numbers for the race in Parry Sound-Muskoka.

The Conservative’s Scott Aitchison has won with 19,881 votes with a total percentage of 41 per cent per cent for local support.

The Liberal’s Trisha Cowie is in second place with 14,476 votes, and a total percentage of 30 per cent for local support.

The Green’s Gord Miller has taken 7,363 votes with a total percentage of 15 per cent for local support.

The NDP’s Tom Young has taken 5,770 votes with a total percentage of 12 per cent for local support.

The Independent candidate Daniel Predie Junior has taken 340 votes with a total percentage of 0.7 per cent for local support.

Across Canada, it appears the Liberals are headed back to Ottawa with a minority government.  So far tonight the Liberals are elected or leading in 158 ridings, the Conservatives 121.  The Bloc Quebecois 32 and the NDP 24.  The Green Party has 3 and the People’s Party is not reporting.
