MACHAR TOWNSHIP, ON- Two people are dead after a crash between a truck and a train this morning.
According to the Almaguin Lands OPP, the South River Machar Fire Department and the Sundridge-Strong Volunteer Fire Department responded to a collision between the train and the truck on Machar-Strong Boundary Road in Machar Township around 10:00 a.m.
Two people in the truck have been confirmed as deceased due to the crash.
Canadian National Police Service is assisting the OPP in the investigation.
As of this publication, the identities of the deceased have not been released, pending next of kin notification.
