Deer season for rifles in the Parry Sound area is right around the corner. There are many rules and regulations when it comes to hunting from firearms, to alcohol, and seals for harvested animals. Robert Gibson for the Parry Sound Ministry of Natural Resources explains that this time of year there is a lot of activity in the forest so everyone should be careful and make sure they are visible.

The season here goes from November 3rd until the 16th and this year, Gibson says there are less tags available to hunters because of the harsh winter we had last year. Further information about hunting regulations you can go to www.ontario.ca/hunting and anyone seeing anything illegal related to hunting is asked to call the MNR.
