MUSKOKA, ON- The heat and humidity are going to keep coming.
According to a heat warning issued by Environment Canada for Parry Sound and Muskoka, daytime temperatures in the low to mid thirties with afternoon humidex values of 40 or higher and night time minimum temperatures in the low to mid twenties are expected for Friday and Saturday.
The extreme heat will affect everyone in the area, with risks greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Residents should never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle, and should keep monitoring alerts from Environment Canada.
A cooler, less humid air mass is expected to arrive on Sunday with a weak cold front.
