Police have arrested two females for shoplifting in Parry Sound. At around 9:00pm Sunday night, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 11 southbound in Orillia for a driving related offence. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed shopping bags concealed behind the driver’s seat. OPP officers investigated and found that the vehicle the two women were in matched the description of a vehicle involved in a shoplifting incident in Parry Sound. Both females were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. They were released on a promise to appear in court.
